The collaboration was announced today at an event promoting the “Trisakti Service to Build the Nation” – an initiative organized by the Trisakti Scholarship Foundation, and attended by several distinguished guests, including Nadiem Anwar Makarim, the minister of education, culture, research, and technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Jari Sinkari, the ambassador of Finland, the chairman of the Trisakti Foundation Mr. Franciscus Welirang and Mr. Julius Halim.

“The Trisakti education unit must move quickly, so as not to be left behind from other campuses which are currently competing to use technology for learning. We are happy that the Trisakti Foundation had adopted ThingLink to provide more interactive digital learning model for lecturers and students within the Trisakti Foundation. The ThingLink platform also allows lecturers to join in collaborative research projects with users in other countries.”

ThingLink has previously organized a certified professional development course for teachers at the Trisakti University, focusing on immersive content creation using interactive media and VR technologies. The certified teachers will be able to expand training to national level. In the next phase, the course will also include training for learning content creation using  augmented reality (AR).

“We at ThingLink want to empower any school in Indonesia to be a contributor of high quality learning experiences in the metaverse.  New visual learning technologies that offer interaction points for learners throughout the experience will also help us understand who needs help, when and where, so that we can reserve the important one-on-one time with these students, and guarantee success for all learner”

ThingLink founder and CEO Ulla-Maaria Koivula.
