Effective and Efficient Onboarding with ThingLink

Key features

• Base graphic as well as majority of other graphic content created in Canva.

• Tag icons and colours coded to guide viewer as to content of tags.

• Tag types include embeds and text and media tags, depending on which suits content best.

• Fire safety training presented as scenario, created with ThingLink Scenario Builder.

• Coffee cup, book reader and tools tag icons contain PDFs.

• Animated video of Hannah created using D-ID.

• Welcome tag icons use the transparent icon feature.

• Aeroplane, microscope, heart, atom, buildings, fire, pencil and transparent welcome (left) tag icons are embedded ThingLinks, added using the embed tag.

This format and approach, often referred to as a “choice board”, could be used for a wide variety of sectors. In education, it could be the familiar weekly layout of work or homework for a class or an individual student. (This was in fact the original use case on which this example is based, and the brainchild of K-12 teacher Lorrie Salome in 2020. Read more here.)

In product marketing and sales, it could be used to allow customers to self-select a product, line or service, both on a website, in an in-store display, or at a trade stand. It could be used to house simple instructions and self-service how-to guides for a wide range of business types.
