Operational and safety training delivered using 360 image and 360 video

This example was created in the ThingLink Multimedia Editor and demonstrates how the inspection process should be carried out on each key component in a particular order, using both 360 image and 360 video.

In this example, the creator has chosen to use a 360 video to emphasise that the driver has to be aware of their surroundings at all times, especially behind them when reversing. The video is taken from the point of view of the driver to make the training as realistic and “first person” as possible.

In the 360 video, one of the information points also has a clickable tag which contains further information as text and image to explain the point even more clearly.

This example is part of content that was created specifically for delivering in VR headsets for forklift safety training. As a small number of learners can experience motion sickness when using this training method, being able to deliver the content on an alternative device is a real benefit.
