Literary setting, themes and characters recreated in an escape room format

This example is created with the ThingLink Multimedia Editor, using the Generate with AI tool during the creation flow for each 360 image, to recreate scenes that reflect settings and themes from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

This type of content is an example of using ThingLink to create engaging gamified content to encourage learners to explore at their own pace. Each scene was designed to incorporate the typical Dickensian look and feel that has become synonymous with traditional Victorian Christmas, thanks to the descriptive prose and unforgettable characters in Dickens’s novella.

The learning outcomes and structure are explained in the first scene. The escape room was designed so that it could be used in a hybrid way; originally delivered in an Igloo Immersive Space, the learners (or players!) were instructed to give the final code to escape the real, physical space and move to the next activity.
